Fall fun

Wow what a fall its been. Its been beautiful outside and we have been busy. I love to go to pumpkin patches but this year our budget is tight, so I decided to see what I could find for us to do that was totally FREE!

Let me tell you I found plenty!

Our first free event was at the Johnston public library where we dressed the kids in their costumes and Kiara got to play games, win candy, make a mask craft and have a snack.

The second night of free fun was dressing up the whole family in costumes and going to the valley west mall for trick or treating. Then off to bible study where we happened to be the only people dressed up, but everyone else did put on their orange and fall colors!

The third day of fall fun was when we went to the Great pumpkin party at Valley evangelical free church with my little sister Amanda.  I have to say this was my personal favorite of our activities. The event was huge!

They had people handing out cups of popcorn, glow sticks and a sack with all sorts of great coupons and church info in it, as you walked in.

The entryway hall was packed. They had a photographer set up with a fun fall background where you could get your pictures taken

They also had a ton of science stuff, like cool magnets and gooey stuff and fun water beads to stick your hands in. They even had a mad science lab show several times through out the day!

Daddy had her convinced that the flame was real but she was brave and put her hand in it after he did.

On the other side of the entryway they had a large face painting and temporary tattoo station set up. Video games from Incredible's pizza, a leaf craft, a clown making balloon animals and a cannon shooting station. Oh and there were people handing out candy everywhere! We really enjoyed the science stuff and making the leaf craft!

Next in the big sanctuary was five huge bouncy things. This was Kiara's favorite for sure! I lost count how many times she went through them all. First there was the obstacle course one with a slide at the end, then the one you jump around in, then the one you jump around in with a slide, then the one that was a enormous slide! I was so proud of her and couldn't believe how much more brave she was this year with climbing! She climbed up things I thought for sure she would be afraid to.

THEN there was downstairs too!!! This is where you could purchase lunch or have some free ice cream from coldstone. yummy chocolate! They also had three game rooms which was also lots of fun.

Our last night of free fall fun was going trick or treating outside a small church, then onto the Guck house (where Kiara and I lived before I married Josh), beaverdale neighborhood and to Papa's house. My mom joined us for this fun evening.  Josh dressed as a pirate, I was a rock singer, Kiara and Kayla were ballerina's and my mom was a pumpkin! SO MUCH FUN!
